send - Missions & Outreach

The word "mission" means "to send".

Jesus sent the 12 disciples to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal (Luke 9:1-2). Then he sent out the 72 saying that "the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest (Luke 10:2)." Then just before he ascended into heaven he told the disciples "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8)."

Here at Crossroads we are intentional about sending our people into our local community, our nation, and around the world.
